Author s agreement
After Atto Producties Europe and the author have reached an agreement, a contract-letter will be drafted. In this letter all the essentials and mutual obligations of the agreement will be enumerated.

A printed book or a printing-on-demand book?
Academic books with a limited circulation (dissertations) can best be produced in a printing-on-demand fashion. It is less expensive compared to a printed book, but also of lesser quality. Of course, a printed book is a professionally made book which can be offered to a wider interested audience. We advice to order a professionally made book when it is fit to be offered to the market of professionals. This is mostly the case with monographs and textbooks.
What we ask from you
All manuscripts for publication should be delivered to Atto Producties Europe in fully typeset format, unless otherwise agreed. Please account the book measures 130 mm (breadth) with 195 mm (height. The typeset manuscript should in all circumstances be delivered in hard copy; manuscripts in digital format (postscript or PDF) are welcome.

Een gedrukt boek of een printing-on-demand boek?
Academisch boeken met een beperkte oplage (proefschriften) kunnen het beste printing-on-demand geproduceerd worden. Het is minder duur in vergelijking met gedrukte boeken, maar ook van iets mindere kwaliteit. Gedrukte boeken worden professioneel geproduceerd en kunnen daardoor aan een breder publiek worden aangeboden. Wij adviseren om een boek te drukken als het geschikt is om aan een publiek van professionals aan te bieden. Dat is meestal het geval bij monografieën en studieboeken.
Wat wij van u vragen
Alle voor publicatie bestemde manuscripten dienen volledig gezet aangeleverd te worden, tenzij anders afgesproken. Houd u alstublieft rekening met de afmeting van het binnenwerk (130 mm x 195 mm). Het gezette manuscript dient onder alle omstandigheden als uitdraai te worden aangeleverd; digitale aanlevering (postscript of PDF) is welkom.

Marketing and promotion
Essential for any publication is to reach the proposed target group(s), consisting mainly of academic peers, a number of institutions, university libraries, specific groups of professionals and policy makers. Some publications appeal to a (much) wider audience. For this purpose Atto Producties Europe has developed a marketing questionnaire for the author to complete.

Essentieel voor iedere publicatie is het bereiken van de beoogde doelgroep(en). De afzetmarkten bestaan hoofdzakelijk uit collega's uit het vakgebied, een aantal instellingen, universiteitsbibliotheken, leden van een specifieke beroepsgroep en beleidsmakers. Sommige publicaties zijn aantrekkelijk voor een groter publiek. Atto Producties Europe heeft voor dit doel een vragenlijst ontworpen, die door de auteur wordt ingevuld.
